Featured Cookbook Author
Meet & Greet
North Shore favorite, Chris DeStefano, will be with us to share his inaugural cookbook/memoir, Misfit Chef. Pre-order a signed copy of the book and get to know the author. Emporium guests will receive a 20% OFF discount, too! Fans of the former Christopher’s Table in Ipswich will love seeing many of their favorite recipes featured in the book.
Confession . . . the North Shore Food & Gift Emporium would have never come to be if Chris hadn’t introduced Lauren and Jess to one another over ten years ago. It was quite the domino effect that brought to where we are today, and he was the first domino that started it all. Thank you, Chris!
About the Book
One part memoir, one part cookbook—with a dash of late-night adventure—Misfit Chef celebrates both food and people. DeStefano tells it all, from his humble roots growing up in his grandparents’ small-town New England grocery store to leading culinary adventures through the streets of Paris. He recounts opening his dream restaurant, hosting wild parties with drag queens in his restaurant’s kitchen, and escaping a catering job that literally went up in flames.
Community, Connection & Commerce
It’s about building community, cultivating connections, and stimulating local commerce — all while creating special memories. Whether you’re planning a girl’s night or a romantic date night, our event offers an unforgettable experience.
About this Event
The most delicious event of the season! No, we are—still—not a holiday craft fair. Think of us more as a vibrant marketplace nestled in the rooms of a beautiful historic mansion. This event is a celebration of food + gifts made by local passionate individuals (we consider them courageous, as well). We’ve procured 30 deliciously talented makers and have brought them together for a day of tasting + shopping.
Who knew there were so many talented entrepreneurs in our midst? Honestly, we feel like this area has some pretty awesome local businesses. Why not create an event to celebrate them + showcase their goods?! Boom . . . the North Shore Food + Gift Emporium was born in 2015.
Come taste + shop from 30 local food + fine gift makers! Sweet, savory, salty, spicy, crunchy, chewy, colorful, festive, shiny, fragrant, unique . . . you name it, we’ll have it. This event is designed to bring out the fun-loving foodie + savvy shopper in everybody.
Hosted at the gorgeous historic Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, the North Shore Food + Gift Emporium will be the perfect event to get a head start on your—dare we say—holiday shopping.
This community event is created by two friends who share a deep love for the North Shore + for local entrepreneurs. We look forward to sharing time with you!

Beverly Bootstraps was first established in 1992 as a Food Pantry in the basement of the First Baptist Church. With the generous support of our donors, volunteers and the community at large, we have grown to be a leading social service agency on the North Shore. We are unique in our approach to the issues of hunger. While recognizing that people need food in hand to stem immediate hunger, our clients also need the opportunity to be embraced by the community, educated about the resources available and empowered to improve their own lives. As we continue to grow, our commitment to the community remains the same: to provide critical resources to families and individuals so that they may achieve self-sufficiency. We accomplish this while maintaining our commitment to fiscal responsibility and serving as trusted stewards of the organization.
Visit their Thrift Shop
The Beverly Bootstraps Thrift Shop offers an exciting and ever-changing array of high-quality, gently-used clothing and household goods available at great prices. Not only does the Thrift Shop provide low-cost necessities to those in need in our community, but it is also open to the public to enjoy a good deal.
All proceeds help fund the important programs and services of Beverly Bootstraps. The Thrift Shop is located at 198 Rantoul Street in Beverly.
Join our Food Drive!
In addition to a monetary donation, we’ve organized a food drive in partnership with Beverly Bootstraps. Just in time for Thanksgiving, let’s come together to contribute as much pantry and home essentials for local families in need. To learn more about their specific needs, go to their Donate page on their website. They’ve also compiled a list of Top 10 Pantry Donation Items. Also, check their social media for recent updates on donation requests.
